Must Watch: Cocaine Quarterback – Official Trailer | Prime Video
Trailer Overview
Released on this past Monday, September 29, 2025, on the official Searchlight Pictures YouTube channel, the two-and-a-half-minute trailer establishes a dishearteningly tense mood with the first frame.
The preview starts with some magnificent shots of the luxury cruise ship, the Aurora, sailing through the calm Norwegian fjords, only to be interrupted by the terrified scream of journalist Lo Blacklock. We are allowed to see the instigating incident: a scream and a splash on the balcony of Cabin 10 during the night.
The trailer is cut brilliantly as Lo desperately tries to persuade the crew and a series of shots of suspicious-looking guests, suggesting that anybody is a criminal. The overall atmosphere is somber, oppressive, and colored in psychological foreboding, of a high-stakes mystery in which the most dangerous thing is not the murderer, but not being believed.

Detailed Breakdown & Analysis
Story & Setting– The trailer establishes a very intense mystery. We are introduced to Lo Blacklock (Keira Knightley), a travel journalist, who is invited to spend vacation on a luxury superyacht on her maiden voyage. However, it quickly goes black Lo sees a woman thrown off the yacht to her death, yet everyone denies it and claims that she was dreaming.
It is all about how she desperately struggles to find out what has actually happened when no one believes her. None of that: no aliens or superpowers or franchise allusions here, just one woman stuck on a boat full of rich people and attempting to unravel a haunting mystery as distrust and paranoia build up.
It is all very fancy on the yacht itself, but as the trailer progresses, it begins to appear more and more like a prison, shut off to the outside world.
Characters & Performances– Keira Knightley gets in as the willful lead, and the ensemble is looking mighty with Guy Pearce as the mysterious yacht master, Richard Bullme, and Hannah Waddingham as a gossipy fellow passenger, Heidi. You will also find Kaya Scodelario, an influencer on social media, David Ajala as a friend of Lo, Ben, and several other faces.
What little the trailer tells us, the movie seems to escape the common trope of the heroine being a falsely depicted madwoman. Knightley Lo is depicted as dogged and shrewd, closer to a classic 70s thriller protagonist than a victim of circumstances. Rather, it is the actual game of guessing who is hiding something on this boat. And who, when one, is helping Lo?
Visuals, Music & Tone- The trailer is replete with sexy shots of blue ocean, shiny interiors of the yachts, and tense, awkward close-ups of Knightley being haunted, alone. The director uses a wide-angle shots, where not only does it make the yacht look gigantic but it also makes it claustrophobic at the same time, which actually compound that feeling of being trapped.
A mixture of shiny classy areas that transform into dark, threatening corridors with the tension building up. The song is tilted toward the suspenseful strings and repetitious rhythms which created an effect of paranoia and isolation that Lo felt. The tone in general is cold, sleek, and truly tense, rather than the open horror, but creeping dread, and every shot and piece of music raises the tension further.

Final Thoughts
The Woman in Cabin 10 is everything you truly do need to be obsessed with. Keira Knightley heads up the cast of this Netflix thriller, which puts you on a luxury yacht and is seen by a journalist, as no one believes what he sees. It is a tense, contemporary whodunit full of mystery, intrigue, and gorgeous scenes that make you stay put in front of the screen.
The trailer leaves much to be desired, as the steely stare of Keira, the slick, glam for interior of a yacht, and a cast full of suspects. It is enhanced by the music and editing, which suggest secrets behind every closed cabin door. And assuming you like a good thriller of the old Agatha Christie style, get set to shiver.
